5.5 Tilt Switch
5.5-1 Level the MEWP
1. Charge the battery to a minimum of 50% before
starting this procedure.
2. Park the MEWP on rm, level ground.
3. Put two calibrated spirit levels on a at surface
on the chassis.
4. Make sure the MEWP is level in the longitudinal
(front to back) and lateral (side to side)
directions.
5. If the MEWP is not level in the longitudinal and
lateral directions, raise the MEWP with a jack
and place shims below the wheels as needed to
level the machine.
6. Pull the deck all the way out into the service
position.
7. Unlatch and open the service access door.
8. Push in the emergency stop button on the base
control console.
9. Turn the off/platform/base key switch to the off
position and remove the key.
10. Turn the main power disconnect switch to the off
position.
