Display Module Section 5 – Procedures
5.7-2 Display Module Error Codes
Diagnostics
The display module shows the machine condition and operating information during operation.
Alarms Visualisation
When an alarm condition occurs, the display module gives the information that shows the alarm code and the
module in which the alarm occurred.
For example:
M181-M2_ERR
S181-M2_ERR
▪
M181-M2_ERR - This means that the alarm has been generated by the Master Uc
▪
S181-M2_ERR - This means that the alarm has been generated by the Slave Uc
Code Description Cause Troubleshooting
8-CTRL_ERR WATCHDOG
This is a safety related test. It is a
self-diagnosis test that involves the
logic between Master and supervisor
microcontrollers.
This alarm could be caused by a fail
of the internal bus, which blinds the
Master-supervisor communication.
17-CTRL_ERR LOGIC FAILURE #3
A hardware problem in the logic board.
An overcurrent condition is triggered
even if the power bridge is not driven.
The failure lies in the controller
hardware. Replace the controller.
18-CTRL_ERR LOGIC FAILURE #2
Fault in the hardware section of the
logic board which deals with voltage
feedbacks of motor phases.
The failure lies in the controller
hardware. Replace the controller.
19-CTRL_ERR LOGIC FAILURE #1
The controller detects an under-voltage
condition at the KEY input (pin A3).
Under-voltage threshold is 10 V.
Fault at start up or in standby
Fault can be caused by a key input
signal characterized by pulses
below the under-voltage threshold,
possibly due to external loads like
DC/DC converters starting-up, relays
or contactors during switching
periods, solenoids energizing or
de-energizing. Consider to remove
such loads.
If no voltage transient is detected
on the supply line and the alarm is
present every time the key switches
on, the failure probably lies in the
controller hardware. Replace the
logic board. The alarm can also be
related to unwanted commutations of
the e-stop circuit and the associated
inputs.
Fault displayed during motor
driving
If the alarm occurs during motor
acceleration or when there is a
hydraulic-related request, check the
battery charge, the battery health and
power-cable connections.
