5.3-2 Remove the Lift Cylinder
1. Disconnect the harness from the emergency
lowering valve coil at the bottom of the lift cylinder.
2. Disconnect the hydraulic hose from the bottom of
the emergency lowering valve manifold. Cap or
plug the hose and the hydraulic tting.
3. Remove and set aside the hardware that secures
the lift cylinder to the bottom of the chassis.
4. Remove and set aside the red knob and hex
standoff from the emergency lowering valve.
Hold the valve shaft with a wrench to keep it from
turning when you remove the hex standoff.
5. Remove and set aside the mast cover and
hardware.
6. Use lifting straps to lift the lift cylinder out of the
mast.
7. Set the lift cylinder aside on a protective surface.
