C002 : TOP/END SENSOR
This submenu checks the functions of a tape top sensor and a tape end sensor.
Checking
Be sure to check each sensor.
(1) Approach a metallic screwdriver to a sensor.
. Check the superimposed display to see that a character string below the
corresponding sensor name changes from “OFF” to “ON!”.

Do not contact the screwdriver with each sensor.
(2) Distance the screwdriver from the sensor.
. Check to see that above-mentioned “ON!” returns to “OFF”.
(3) To finish the check, press the MENU button once.
In case of NG
. Check the sensor itself.
. Check the oscillator and detection circuit on the MS-58 board for sensors.
. Check the corresponding sensor input port (IC115 on the SS-83 board).
