7.57 Too Long to Evacuate — ALM
Condition
Occurs if target vacuum level is not reached after 15 minutes of phase start. Sterilizer automatically aborts cycle.
General Troubleshooting
Additional Information
Acknowledge alarm.
1. Load must be repackaged and reprocessed after
Abort Phase is completed.
Issue with door seal. Ex: something on door seal or door
obstruction.
1. Clear obstruction.
Chamber not clean.
1. Remove all tape, labels, and tags from chamber
(including top and sides).
2. Clean chamber per Section 8.4, Cleaning Sterilization
System.
3. Run Lumen cycle with no load in chamber.
4. If cycle passes, Unit is operational.
Improper load.
1. Remove load.
2. Verify chamber is clean.
3. Run Lumen cycle with no load in chamber.
4. If no alarm, Unit is operational.
5. Verify load contents are compatible and properly
wrapped.
Unit overloaded.
1. Remove part of load and rerun cycle.
Chamber leak.
1. Run Leak Test cycle. Leak rate must be less than or
equal to 0.3 Torr.
Facility 3–phase voltage issue.
1. Ask Maintenance to verify 208 V on all legs of 3–
phase voltage.
