8.5 Leak Test
WARNING
ABORTED CYCLE HAZARD
A leak test is recommended to be performed monthly on the Sterilization Unit to ensure
chamber leak rate is within specification. The leak rate must be less than
0.3 Torr/minute (0.4 mbar/minute or 0.04 kPa/minute). If not, an abort results, door
remains locked and Sterilization Unit service is required.
Perform a leak test on the Sterilization Unit monthly as follows:
NOTE: Leak test takes approximately 20 minutes to complete.
1. Ensure Unit chamber is empty.
2. From SELECT CYCLE screen, press Options touch pad to display OPTIONS screen.
3. Press LEAK TEST touch pad to start Leak Test. LEAK TEST Explanation screen displays.
