26) Unhook the gearshift cam stopper spring (18) from
the lower crankcase.
27) Remove the snap ring (19) from the gearshift cam,
then draw out the gearshift cam (20) from the
opposite side.
Special tool
(A): 09900–06107 (Snap ring pliers)
28) Remove the snap ring (21) and gearshift cam
stopper (22).
Special tool
: 09900–06107 (Snap ring pliers)
29) Remove the gearshift cam stopper bolt (23).
Transmission Installation

Install the transmission in the reverse order of removal.
Pay attention to the following points:
Gearshift Cam
• Apply a small quantity of THREAD LOCK “1342” to
the gearshift cam stopper bolt and tighten it.
: Thread lock cement 99000–32050 (Thread
Lock Cement 1342 or equivalent)
NOTE
When installing the gearshift cam stopper
plate (1), align the pin groove “A” with the pin
“B” as shown.
