22. Apply red Loctite Threadlocker (No. 271) to
the
threads
of
the

ocket bolt and install the boll.
Tighten the bolt to a good finger-tightness

time. Do not completely tighten this bolt until the
other
bolt is installed.

alternator
rotor
bolt. Rotate the engine clockwise, as viewed from

e left·hand side, until the other sprocket bolt ho

is exposed.

install the bolt. Tighten the bolt to the torque

the cylinder head. Push the C-ring
down into the groove until the ends are flush with
the top surface
of
the
cy
linder head.

Apply a liberal amount of new engine oil to
the top surface
of
the camshaft and into the pocket
in
the
cy
linder head so the cam lobes are
submerged in the oil.
29. Do not apply any type
of
sealant to the cylin-
der
head plug and install the plug into the
cy
linder
head (

66).
