2.2 Standard fuel sensor replacement
ATTENTION: If the standard fuel sensor is not located in the geometrical center of
the tank, it is not recommended to replace it with DUT-E. DUT-E installation far from
the geometrical center of the tank will lead to significant fluctuations in fuel level
readings.
Dismount the standard sensor and clean the mounting area before DUT-E mounting.
The holes of the mounting plate and rubber gasket must be aligned with the bores in the tank.
M5x16 bolts can be used for installation; they are included into the DUT-E package. Bolt or
screw heads must be completely sunk in the mounting plate (see figure 9).
