CAUTION. When removing or installing the keypad, make sure you do not touch
the switch cont ac t s with your fingers. The oils in your fingers will degrade or
damage the switch contacts. To help prevent damage to the ke y pad use cotton
gloves when removing or installing the keyboard pad.
3. Reinstallation: Do in reverse step 2 to r e i nst a l l the keypad, front panel board,
and the front panel assembly. Then see the following instruc t i ons:
a. Make sure the keypad is aligned properly on the Fr ont Panel board.
b. Ma ke sure the ribbon cable is routed correctly when installing the Front
Panel into the chassis.
c. Inser t the two floppy disk support tabs into the front panel square
openings. Both left front panel tabs must go into t he chassis slots. See
Figure 6--8, page 6--22.
1. Locate module to be removed: Loca t e the Display assembly, Figure 6--11,
page 6--26. Additional modules to be removed:
! Trim (front panel & top)
2. Orient the osci l l osc ope : Set the oscilloscope so the bottom i s down on the
work surface a nd the front panel is facing you.
CAUTION. To avoid damage to t he front panel Standby/On switch assembly, do
not set the Display module assembly on a work surface. Sliding the oscilloscope
over the edge of the work surface could break off the On/Standby switch
assembly.
3. Remove the Di spl ay assembly: See Figure 6--11, page 6--26.
a. Remove the four T-15 TORX drive screws that secure the display
assembly to the chassis.
b. Gr a sp the display assembly at the finger reliefs located at the top-right
and bottom -left corners of t he display assembl y and pull forward far
enough to allow access to the flex cable connector.
c. Disconne c t J5 flex cable from the display assembly. Remove the display
module assembly from the osci l l osc ope . See Figure 6--11, page 6--26.
