Interface and Display
The menu bar mode provides access to commands that control all of the instrument features and functions. The
toolbar mode provides access to the most common features.
Menu Bar: Access to data I/O, printing, online help, and instrument functions
Status Bar: Display of
acquisition status, mode, and
number of acquisitions; trigger
status; date; and time
Display: Live, reference, and
math waveforms display here,
along with cursors
Readouts: Display cursor and
measurement readouts in this area.
Measurements are selectable from
the menu bar or toolbar. If a control
window is displayed, these readouts
move to the graticule area
Controls Status: Quick reference to vertical, horizontal, and
trigger selections, scale, and parameters
Multipurpose Knob
Readouts. Adjust and
display parameters
controlled by the
multipurpose knobs
Buttons/Menu. Click
to toggle between
toolbar and menu bar
modes
Waveform Handle: Click and drag
to change vertical position of
waveform. Click the handle and
change the position and scale
using the multipurpose knobs
Drag the position icons to
reposition a waveform
Drag across the waveform area to
create a box for zooming,
enabling/disabling histograms,
and gating measurements
Click the icon to assign the
multipurpose knobs to
waveform vertical position and
scale
Drag icon to change
the trigger level
