4.12.2  Dynamic DNS 
4.12.2.1  Overview 
DDNS maps the WAN IP address (changeable public IP address) of the router to a domain name for 
dynamic domain name resolution. This ensures proper operation of functions that involve the WAN 
IP address of the modem router, such as the remote management and virtual server functions. 
4.12.2.2  Configuring the DDNS function 
Step 1  Choose Advanced Setup > DNS > Dynamic DNS to enter the configuration page, and click 
Add. 
 
Step 2  D-DNS provider: Select a DDNS service provider. The supported service providers include 
dyn.com, TZO, and NO-IP. 
Step 3  Hostname: Set the DDNS domain name registered on a DDNS service provider's website. 
Step 4  Interface: Select a WAN service. 
Step 5  Username/Password: Set the user name and password registered on a DDNS service 
provider's website for logging in to the DDNS service. 
Step 6  Click Apply/Save.
