h. Tighten the clamping screw to maintain proper position [3].
Repeat Steps
Repeat this procedure until the tension carriage remains permanently in its position
(the tension spring must be in the position shown).
i. Fasten the carriage plate to secure the tensioning alignment into place, by
tightening the screws [3], while checking the running surfaces [8] are smooth!
j. Check for clearance between slats and belt conveyor [9].
k. Run the sorter at maintenance speed.
l. Check the tension of the sorter link chain!
m. If the chain tension is correct, install the covers [2].
Please Note After tensioning the sorter link chain, checks the alignment dimensions
between the infeed “knife edge” belt and sorter as illustrated in drive chain adjustments
sketch [9].
