17. SETTING-OUT ARC
It is also possible to perform setting-out arc measurement by pressing [S-O ARC] when allocated to the OBS
mode screen.
Allocating [S-O ARC]: "33.12 Allocating Key Functions"
PROCEDURE Defining by observation
1. In the second page of OBS mode screen, press [MENU],
then select "Set-out arc".
2. Enter the instrument station data.

Angle"
3. Select “Define arc” in <Set-out arc>.
4. Sight the From point and press [MEAS].
Press [STOP] to stop the measurement.
The tilt screen is displayed if the instrument is out of level.
Level the instrument.

5. Press [OK] to use the measurement results of the From
point.
Press [MEAS] to observe the first point again.
Press [HT] to input instrument and target height.
6. Press { }/{ } to select coordinates then press [OK].
7. Sight the To/Center/Intersect point and press [MEAS].
8. Press [OK] to use the measurement results of the To/
Center/Intersect point.
Press [MEAS] to observe the second point again.
Press [HT] to input instrument and target height.
When entering multiple points, [NEXT] is displayed instead
of [OK]. Press [NEXT] to observe the next point.
