Ensurethatyoudonotdamagefuelhoses,electricalharness,or
otherpartswhenloweringtheengineintoplace.
2.Securetheenginetothechassiswiththepreviouslyremovedfasteners.
3.Connecttheengineelectricalconnections:
•thenegative(-)batterycableandwireharnessgroundconnectorsatthe
enginecrankcase
•themachinewireharnessattheenginewireharnessconnector
•thepositive(+)batterycableandfusiblelinkharnessatthestartermotor
stud
Note:Replaceanycabletiesandclampsthatwereremovedduring
disassembly.
Applybatteryterminalprotectortotheringterminalsofthepositiveand
negativebatterycables;refertoSpeedSettingT ool(page2–17).
4.Connectthethrottleandchokecontrolcablestotheengine.
5.Adjustthechokecontrol;refertoAdjustingtheChokeControl(page4–5).
6.Installtheevaporativecanisterandfueltank;refertoAssemblingtheFuel
