Important: It is advised to check the waste ink bottle at least on a weekly basis and empty it
regularly. It might need to be checked/emptied more often when printing high volumes.
1 Remove the 2 screws that lock the drawer of the waste ink bottle on the left side of the
machine.
Note: The drawer does not have to be locked with the 2 screws during everyday usage.
However it is advised to put these screws back during transportation or when the machine
is moved to another location in-house.
2 Pull the drawer out to gain access to the waste ink bottle.
3 Unscrew the cap of the waste ink bottle carefully and dispose of the waste ink.
Warning: The ink might be considered as Hazardous Waste in some countries. Make sure
you fill the waste ink from the bottle into a separated tank and disposal is done according
to the local regulations!
However in other countries, the Trojan ink is not considered as hazardous waste and can
be disposed down the drain.
Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for the Trojan ink can be downloaded from the
Trojanlabel extranet or acquired from the local partners.
