Adjusting the wheel

Securing moving parts
M oving parts must be secured wi th l i fting gear against sl idi ng, roll i ng,
fol di ng or swivell i ng. Personnel may be injured or the implement may
be damaged as a result .
In the case of hydraulic and pneumatic brakes, the brake shoe and the
brake drum must not make contact in the rest posi ti on. Thi s must be
checked before the start of the season and every 200 worki ng hours
or every 10,000 bales. Proceed as follows:
> Raise the implement and secure it against rolling away by using lif-
ting gear.
> Loosen the tensi on li nkage completel y.
> Turn the adj usting screw on the wheel in the direction of arrow until
the wheel l ocks (do this on both wheel s) .
> Turn back the adjusting screw until the wheel moves freely.
> Adjust the length of the tension linkages by turning the yokes.
> Ti ght en the tension li nkage.
> Check the simultaneous brake response for both wheels, and ad-
just as required by turning the yokes.
