Hitching
Increased risk of injury
When hi tchi ng the i mplement to the tr actor, there i s an i ncreased ri sk
of injury. Therefore:
•
secure the tractor in such a way that it cannot roll forwards or back-
wards.
•
Switch off the engine.
•
Remove the ignition key.
•
Never stand between the tractor and the implement during hi t-
ching.
•
Mount and secure the implement's cardan shaft to the tractor's
PTO shaft.
Failure to comply may cause damage to the implement and even life-
threateni ng i njuri es.
Cardan shaft
Onl y use a cardan shaft that compli es wi th the manufacturer's speci-
fications. Other cardan shafts with friction clutches require a higher
torque. A higher tor que can cause damage to the implement.
Cardan shaft operating manual
Please ensure that you observe the manufacturer's operating manual
for the cardan shaft. This will provide you with information regarding
intended use. Failure to comply can cause damage to the cardan sh aft
and to the implement.
Check and attach the protective guard for the cardan shaft
The rotating cardan shaft is protected by a protective g uard. Make su-
re that the protecti ve guard for the cardan shaft is not damaged. The
protecti ve guard f or t he cardan shaft must be attached to t he tr actor
and the implement by chains. Unsecured cardan shafts can ca use se-
rious injuries.
PTO shaft speed 540 rpm
The prescribed maximum PTO sha ft speed of 540 rpm must not be ex-
ceeded. A higher PTO shaft speed can cause damage to the imple-
ment.
