operate the
implement
Only qualified personnel
Only qualified persons who have been informed of the dangers asso-
ciat ed wit h handling t he implement are permitted to operate, servi ce
or repair the implement. This knowledge c an be g ained v ia agricultural
training, technical training or intensive instruction.
General
Safety is your responsibility
Follow the safety regulations. Ensure you are always in compliance
with the safety regulations. Most accidents can be avoided. Avoid se-
ri ous or fatal accidents by follow i ng the safety i nstructions.
Prescri bed workwear
Do not w ear l oose, baggy clothi ng. Any loose or baggy i tems of cl ot-
hi ng w orn may become caught i n the rotati ng parts. Wear workw ear
and protective clothing, as prescribed by the trade's mutual indemnity
association. There is otherwise the risk of serious or fatal injury.
Fire hazard
Ensure the implement is always clean and remove any remaining
crop. This will ensure that any fire hazards are avoided.
Fire extingui sher
The fi r e extingui sher must alw ays be kept wi th the i mplement. A mul-
tipurpose ABC fire extinguisher with a volume of 5 kg is recommended.
The fi r e exti ngui sher must be approved by the rel evant authorit i es.
Good working condition
Ensure that t he tractor is alw ays in good w orking conditi on, and that
the tractor's brakes a nd the implement are working perfectly. Obs erv e
the information and technical data in the operating manual for your
tractor.
Use in enclosed spaces
An implement which is coupled and connected to the tractor must not
be run in enclosed spaces. Combustion engine exhaust fumes are
dangerous. There is a danger of asphyxiation.
Never work on the implement when it is running
Actions should not be carried out on the implement while it is running.
Objects or personnel can be caught, drawn in or crushed. There is
otherwise the risk of serious or fatal injury.
Do not make any modifications to the implement
No modifications whatsoever must be made to the implement. Unautho-
ri sed modifi cations can impair safet y and affect t he ser vi ce li fe of t he
implement. Unauthorised modifications to the implement render the
manufacturer's guarantee null and void and frees the manufacturer
from all liability.
