Ensuring road safety
The i mplement must conform to current nati onal traffic regulations if
you i ntend to drive it on publi c roads. Ensure:
•
Lighting, warning and protective equipment is installed and
functioning
•
Compliance with the permissible transport widths and weights, ax-
le l oads, ty re l oadbeari ng capaciti es, l aden wei ghts and nati onal
speed restrictions.
•
Compliance with the maximum permissible road transport speed of
40 km/h.
If this is not com plied with, the driv er and keep er of the vehic le are lia-
ble.
Check the tyre pressure
Check tyre pressure on a regular basi s. The wr ong tyre pressure wi l l
reduce the service life of a tyre and can cause unstable driving proper-
ties and accidents.
Adj usti ng the load-dependent brake
Before t ravelli ng on the road, check that t he lever of the i mplement's
load-dependent brake is adjusted to “Full load”. The braking ef ficiency
changes. Thi s can cause accidents. The consequence can be traffi c
accidents wi th seri ous or fatal i njuri es.
No riding on the impl em ent
Neither personnel nor objects are allowed to be transported on the im-
plemen t at any time. Riding on the implement is hazardous and strictly
prohibited.
Al ter ed driving and braking performance
The driving and braking performance are altered when the implement
i s attached to the t ractor. Take the w idth and bal ancing w ei ght of t he
implement into consideration, especially when cornering. A driving
style which is not adapted to conditions can cause accidents.
Adapt ed speed
In the event of bad road conditions and excessive speed, very high
forces can occur that subject the tractor and implement material to
hi gh l oads or t o an overload. Adapt t he speed to the road condi ti ons.
A driving style which is not adapted to conditions can cause accidents.
The consequ ence can be traffic accidents with serious or fatal injuries.
No bales in the bale chamber
Bal es must not be tr ansported in the bal e chamber. Transporti ng ba-
les will affect the steering, braking capability and driving behaviour of
the tractor. Personnel may be injured or the im plement may be dama-
ged as a result .
