damage the components in the locking
system and cause malfunctions.
– Never short circuit the batteries’ contacts
(positive and negative terminal).
– Never expose the batteries to wet or mois-
ture (rain, salt water, liquids). Never use
wet or damp batteries.
– Never attempt to solder, repair, reshape,
convert or disassemble batteries.
– Use the batteries contained in the battery
replacement set only.

of the reader!
Incorrect installation of the reader can result
in damage or destruction of the reader and
the connected electronics.
– Have the reader installed by a qualified
electrician in energy and building tech-
nology.
– Carry out the installation in accordance
with these instructions.
– Only mount the switching mechanism in
deenergised state.
NOTICE!
Material damage on the reader with internal
control unit due to vandalism!
When using a reader with internal control
unit, material damage due to vandalism is
possible on the external area.
– To prevent vandalism damage on the
reader with external control unit in the
external area, always mount a reader with
external control unit.
