4.2 Determine cylinder type
Cylinders must be adjusted to the lock con-
cerned. You need determine whether the cam
in the old cylinder rotates freely or not when
the key is removed to ensure that you select
the right cylinder.
Precondition:
n Old cylinder has been removed.

1. Remove key from the old cylinder.
2. Try to rotate the cam through 360º by hand.

If the cam rotates freely (A), cylinder type 04, type
04 MK and type 05 can be fitted.
If the cam does not rotate freely (B), cylinder type
01 and type 21 can be fitted.
