4.3 Determine cylinder length
The dimensions for individual cylinders are
listed in the technical specifications. You can
increase the cylinder length in increments of
5 mm on one or both sides, depending on the
cylinder type.

There are two methods to determine the required length of
the cylinder to be installed:
n Measure old cylinder.
n Measure door, including fitting.
Both methods are described below.
The old cylinder should be measured if pos-
sible.

Folding ruler
Precondition:
n Old cylinder has been removed.
Ä

1. Measure the distance between the left cylinder edge
and the centre of the face plate screw drill hole (1).
Note down the measured value (A).
2. Measure the distance between the right cylinder edge
and the centre of the face plate screw drill hole (1).
Note down the measured value (B).

The cylinder's internal (B) and external dimension
(A) have now been measured.

NOTICE!
Increased risk of burglary due to incor-
rect cylinder length.
Select new cylinder, so that the cylinder projects
max. 3 mm from the fitting.
