RecordtheindicatedvoltageVpkandVlydata.Thedifferencebetweentheseisthedifferencebetweenthehighestpeakandthe
lowestvalleyencounteredduringtheperiodbetweenpressingtheCLEARbuttonandrecordingtheresult.

Step2clearsthedataforallchannels,sofora3‐phasesupplyyoudonotneedtorepeattheentireprocedureforeachphaseif
allphasesarebeingmodulated.Justrepeatstep5,changingtheselectedchanneltorecordthemeasurementsforeachphase.

Donotforgettoreleasethemeasurementholdafterrecordingallphases.

periodthisvaluewillfluctuateinresponsetomodulationatfrequencieswhicharenotamultipleof10Hz.
20.3.3 CONFIRMINGTHEDCVOLTAGECONTENT OF THESUPPLY
TheXT2640maybeusedtoconfirmthatthesupplyvoltageDCcontentisasrequiredforcertainoftheteststobeperformed.
ThisisperformedbyusingthePOWERDATAscreenwhichshouldbeselectedtodisplaytheresultsforeachchannel,showingthe
COUPLEDdata(sotheAC+DCortheDCdataisshownasconfiguredforthissupply),andshowingthefullDETAILEDinformation.
Inthesecondarydata(showninasmaller,whitecoloredtext)forvoltageisameasurementresultentitledDC.ThisistheDCcontent
ofthesupplyvoltagephasebeingviewed.
20.3.4 CONFIRMINGTHEVOLTAGE DISTORTIONOFTHESUPPLY
TheXT2640maybeusedtoconfirmthatthesupplyvoltagedistortioncontentisasrequiredforcertainoftheteststobeperformed.

AsdefinedinDO160E/F/G16.5.1.8.1.1thisisanimpossiblemeasurementtoperformasitrequiresthatthedistortionbe
measuredoveraninfinitenumberofharmonics.Inthismanualitisassumedthattherequirementactuallyintendedthat
thismeasurementbeperformedoverthesamenumberofharmonicsasdefinedforthecurrentdistortiontestsineach
requirement.
ThisisperformedbyusingthePOWERDATAscreenwhichshouldbeselectedtodisplaytheresultsforeachchannel,showingthe
FUNDAMENTALdata,andshowingthefullDETAILEDinformation.
Inthesecondarydata(showninasmaller,whitecoloredtext)forvoltageisameasurementresultentitledTHDf.Thisisthe
percentagedistortioncontentreferencedtothefundamentalcomponentofthesupplyvoltagephasebeingviewed.
20.3.5 CONFIRMINGTHEVOLTAGE RIPPLECONTENTOFTHESUPPLY
TheXT2640maybeusedtoconfirmthatthesupplyvoltageripplecontentisasrequiredforcertainoftheteststobeperformed.

Thebandwidthofthemeasurementmayhaveasevereimpactontheresultsobtained.Therequirementsdonotgenerally
stateanyspecificbandwidthforsuchameasurement,yetthisisameasurementofpeakvalueswhichareverydependenton
themeasurementbandwidthbydefinition.YoushouldaltertheMEASCONFIG‐BANDWIDTHsettingwhileperformingthese
teststoavaluetoprovideastandardizedbandwidthofthemeasurement–XiTRONrecommendsasettingof25kHzfor
BANDWIDTHforthesetests.
TheXT2640cannotconfirmthefrequencycontentofthemodulation.
ThisisperformedbyusingthePOWERDATAscreenwhichshouldbeselectedtodisplaytheresultsforeachchannel,showingthe
COUPLEDdata,andshowingthefullDETAILEDinformation.
Inthesecondarydata(showninasmaller,whitecoloredtext)forvoltagearemeasurementresultsentitledPk,onewithanuparrow
andtheotherwithadownarrow.Theseprovidethemeasurementofthehighestandlowestextentsoftheripple,thedifference
betweenthesetwomeasurementsisthepeak‐to‐peakripple.
20.4 USINGTHE XT2640TOTESTCOMPLIANCETOLOADINGREQUIREMENTS
TheXT2640canbeusedtomonitorthesupplytotheequipmenttoensurethatmostofthesetestsarebeingcarriedoutproperly
andalsosimultaneouslymakethedesiredloadcurrentmeasurements.
