Removing and
installing the
battery

Battery removal
Put the machine into the parking position (the uppercarriage in driving position).
Put the travel direction pre-selection level into neutral.
Place the working attachment on the floor.
Activate the parking brake.
Shut down the engine.
Open maintenance cover to the right, unlock locking strap and lodge.
See chapter 6.7.5 “Fuel system”.
Unlock and fold down maintenance ladder.
Turn off the battery isolator switch (5).
Disconnect the ground cable (-) first and then the positive cable (+).
Loosen the clamping bracket.
Remove the battery (6).
When folding up the maintenance ladder and cover, ensure that the locks are
locked into place.
