Lighting and warning devices
Checking the lighting and warning devices
Lighting
equipment
Switch on the working floodlights and the tail lamps and check that they are
functioning correctly.
Ensure the ignition is turned off before replacing faulty lamps.
Control lights
Switch on the ignition to check that the control lights on the operator control
panel are functioning correctly.
Hot surfaces hazard
Risk of burns.
Z Switch off the engine.
Z Avoid skin contact with hot machine parts.
Z Wear personal protective equipment.
Danger of falling objects
Danger of falling objects due to unsecured mounts on the
machine.
Z Only access the machine using the designated access steps
and surfaces or suitable aids (such as ladders or platforms).
Z Ensure the ladder is stable.
Danger due to visible and ultraviolet rays
Eyes can be damaged by the lights.
Z Switch off lights.
Z Remove start key.
Z When checking that they work, do not stare directly at the
lights.
Notice
Any defective lighting and warning devices must be repaired/replaced
immediately.
