Note: some versions of VLC do not require the Force Multicast settings in VLC. In this example

“rtsp://192.168.0.120/z3-1m.mp4” would apply.

(5) When streaming RTSP via multicast the output address must end in .mp4 instead of .sdp. Also, {m}

is added if a multicast address is being used. (For example, rtsp://IP_Address/z3-1m.mp4).

a. If using a multi switch/router network, please note that a failure can be caused by the TTL

needing to be longer, resulting in the packets being discarded before reaching the
