3.6.1 Available industrial networks
General
The controller can be fitted with a number of different boards and software based
industrial networks. The software based industrial networks do not require any
hardware.
Note
Two industrial network masters can be run in parallel on the OmniCore controller.
It is the responsibility of the integrator to verify the behavior when two masters
are used in one OmniCore.
Fieldbus connections
There is a slot available for installing a fieldbus board (PCIe) on the main computer,
with process connectors on the front panel.
The software based fieldbuses are connected directly to one of the Ethernet ports.
