Testing blood glucose 3
The cap must be on the lancing device when
you obtain blood. Without the cap, the lancet
would penetrate too deeply and you would feel
more pain than necessary.
2 Press the lancing device rmly against the chosen
puncture site.
You will feel a slightly raised ring against your skin; this
is the pin-hole through which the tip of the lancet
emerges.
3 Press the multifunction button all the way down.
This triggers the lancet, which penetrates the skin to
the penetration depth set.
4 If necessary, massage the nger in the direction of
the ngertip to encourage a blood drop to form.
The blood drop must be large enough and well-formed.
