5.1 ADVANCE METER
The Advance Meter function can be used to measure speed, ignition advance and oil temperature. Measured
values are displayed on the screen (see Fig. 118).

The ignition sensor is used to indicate the ignition moment. To determine the top dead centre, you can either use
the stroboscope or the inductive sensor or the semiconductor sensor.
STROBOSCOPE
Stroboscope serves for determination of upper dead centre of crankshaft.
Measuring with the stroboscope is very simple. Using buttons (+) and () (see Fig. 119) on the stroboscope body,
you can align the marks on the pulley and the engine block, and read the advance corresponding to the current
speed from the screen.
