Because two current sensors can be connected simultaneously to the Motortester, you can select these sensors
by pressing the buttons and switch them over. If a single sensor is connected, buttons for the current sensor
selection are not available.
Warning:
It is highly recommended to place current probes far from strong magnetic fields (e.g. alternator) so that
measurement accuracy is not compromised.

In case of using new types of current sensors, the buttons for current probe selection will respond to the
used sensor. In this case are used current probes 50 and 500A.
5.3 MEASUREMENT ON THE HV COIL PRIMARY WINDING
For the measurement, use the oscilloscope cable channel A connected to the primary winding of the ignition
coil and to the vehicle frame. After selecting and confirming the Measurement on Primary Coilfunction, you
can choose one of the two possible visualisation options (see Fig. 124).
