6. DIESEL ENGINE MEASUREMENT
The following measurement group is used exclusively for diesel engines and includes the following types of
measurement:
Preinjection measurement
Simultaneous voltage and current measuring
Pressure sensor signal measurement
Oil temperature measuring
Oscilloscope with the signal frequency measurement function
Oscilloscope with the speed engine measurement function

6.1 PREINJECTION METER
The preinjection meter function serves to measure the engine speed, the preinjection (dynamic start of fuel
transport) and eventually the oil temperature of diesel engines. Measured values are displayed on the screen in
the same way as in the case of advance measuring see Fig. 155.
