Assembly Replacement
A13 Second Converter
A13 Second Converter
CAUTION Turn off the spectrum analyzer power when replacing the A13 second
converter assembly. Failure to turn off the power may result in damage
to the assembly.
Removal
1. Place the spectrum analyzer upside-down on the work bench.
2. Disconnect W33, coax 81, and W35, coax 92, from the A13 assembly.
3. Disconnect W48, coax 8, from A13J3.
4. Disconnect W56/FL2/W57 (as a unit) and set it aside.
5. Remove the four screws securing A13 to the main deck and remove
the assembly.
6. Disconnect ribbon cable W13 from the A13 assembly.
Replacement
1. Connect ribbon cable W13 to the A13 assembly.
2. Secure A13 to the spectrum analyzer main deck, using four panhead
screws.
3. Connect W33, coax 81, to A13J4 600 MHz IN jack.
4. Connect W35, coax 92, to A13J2 310.7 MHz OUT jack.
5. Connect W48, coax 8, to A13J3. Route W48 under W35, coax 92.
6. Install W56/FL2/W57 and ensure that all of the connections on
W56/FL2/W57 and on W48 are torqued to 113 Ncm (10 in-lb).
