Introduction
Safety Considerations
Although this instrument has been designed in accordance with
international safety standards, this manual contains information,
cautions, and warnings which must be followed to ensure safe operation
and to prevent damage to the instrument. Service and adjustments
should be performed only by qualified service personnel.
WARNING Adjustments in this section are performed with power supplied
to the instrument and protective covers removed. There are
voltages at many points in the instrument which can, if
contacted, cause personal injury. Be extremely careful.
Adjustments should be performed only by trained service
personnel.
Power is still applied to this instrument with the
LINE switch in
the off position. Before removing or installing any assembly or
printed circuit board, remove the line-power cord.
Capacitors inside the instrument may still be charged, even if
the instrument has been disconnected from its source of supply.
Use a nonmetallic adjustment tool whenever possible.
