Display Show/Blank, Clear Trace, Clear All Traces
The trace features are shared across all the measurements in the Spectrum Analyzer
Mode. For details about how they operate, see “Trace/Detector” on page 78.
Detector Function
Accesses the detector menu keys where you can select
Auto, Peak, Sample, Negative Peak, or
Average.
The detector features are shared across all the measurements in the Spectrum Analyzer
Mode. See the Trace/Detector section for details about how they operate.
NOTE For accurate OBW measurements, it is recommended that you use the
sample or average trace detectors. The default detector is the sample
detector.
You can also use other detectors like peak, or negative peak. The
analyzer in this case will provide a correction to the result to improve
the accuracy of the OBW Power measurement. This correction is
calculated under the assumption that the signal has gaussian time
domain statistics. Consequently, the measurement may be in error
when this assumption is violated (for example: when measuring a CW
signal).
