EtherNet/IP Module I/O Mapping
It shows the name of the automatically generated instance of the module under IEC Objects in the
Variable column. In this way, the instance can be accessed by the application
The “Always update variables” option must be keeped as default in Enable 1.
IEC 60870-5-104 Server
This protocol is available to Nexto Serie CPUs NX3030 NX3020 and NX3005, on its Ethernet
channels. As select this option at MasterTool, the CPU starts to be a IEC 60870-5-104
communication server, allowing conexion with up to three client devices.To each client the driver
owns one exclusive event queue with the following features:
Size: 1000 events;
Retentivity: non retentivy;
Overflow policy: keep the newest.
To configure this protocol, it is needed to do the following steps:
Add a protocol IEC60870-5-104 Server instance to one of the available Ethernet channels (NET1
or NET2). To realize this procedure consult the chapter Inserting a Protocol Instance
Configure the Ethernet interface. To realize this procedure consult the chapter Ethernet Interfaces
Configuration
Configure the general parameters of protocol IEC 60870-5-104 Server with connection mode
Port or IP, and the TCP port number when the selected connection mode is IP.
Add and configure devices, defining the proper parameters.
Add and configure the IEC 60870-5-104 mappings, especifing the variable name, type of object,
object address, size, range, dead band and type of dead band.
Configure the enlace layers parameters, specifying the addresses, communication time outs and
communication parameters.
Configure the application layer parameters, synchronism configuration, commands, as well as
transmission mode of Integrated Totals objects.
The descriptions of each configuration are related below, in this chapter.
Type of data
The Table 4-101 shows the supported variable type by the Nexto Series CPU for each protocol IEC
60870-5-104 data type.
