3.2 Inter-Module Connection
This section describes precautions to follow when handling the
equipment. Prevent the equipment from being damaged by static
electricity.
WARNING
Do not apply a voltage exceeding the rated voltage of
MP1862A. Excessively high input voltage can damage
the circuit.
As an antistatic measure, make sure the other devices
(including experimental circuits) be connected with
ground wires before connecting the I/O connector.
Be sure to discharge static electricity from the outer
conductors and cores of the coaxial cables by touching
them with any metal object before connecting the
coaxial cables.
The power supply voltage rating for the mainframe is
shown on the rear panel. Be sure to operate the
mainframe within the rated voltage range. The
mainframe may be damaged if a voltage out of the
rating range is applied.
To protect the MP1862A from e being damaged by
static electricity, be sure to observe the following:
• Spread a conductive sheet on a workbench.
• Wear a wrist strap connected to the conductive
sheet or the frame ground of MP1862A.
Do not apply excessive force to connectors when
removing the cables from MP1862A. Excessive force
can degrade the characteristics or cause failures.
Be sure to use a torque wrench when
connecting/disconnecting the cables. (Recommended
torque: 0.9 N-M).
