3.2.2 2ch Rx connection
This section describes a connection example using two MP1862As and
two MU183040Bs.
According to the following procedure, connect the equipment as shown in
Figure 3.2.2-1.

Two MP1862As (this module)
MP1800A
Two MU183040Bs
MU181500B
MU181000A
DUT (Device under test)
[Procedure]
1.
Connect the Data Output1/2 connectors on the rear panel of each of
two MP1862As and the Data Input1/2 connectors of two
MU183040Bs, respectively by using coaxial cables. The coaxial cables
must be one of the following:
• The supplied J1657A coaxial cables
• Coaxial cables that are of the same length
2.
Connect the 1/2 Clock Output connector on the rear panel of
MP1862A and the Ext. Clock Input connector of MU183040B by
using the supplied J1668A coaxial cable.
3.
Connect the Delayed Clock Output and DEMUX Clock Input
connectors on the rear panel of MP1862A, by using the J1654A cable
that comes with MP1862A.
4.
Connect the Data Input and
Data
Input connectors on the front
panel of MP1862A to the DUT by using coaxial cables.
5.
To the Ext. Clock Input connector on the front panel of MP1862A,
connect the clock signal to be output from a data generator like
MP1861A.
Then, on the Interface tab of MP1862A, in the Clock Input Band box,
click the option that matches both bit rate and clock rate to be used
by MP1862A. For details on how to set the Clock Input Band, refer to
4.4.1 “Input setting items”.
