Turn and remove the start-up system.
•
Disassemble the gear by removing the
Seeger ring (8), the shim washer (7),
the toothed wheel (6), the ball bearing
cage (5), and the shim washer (4).
•
Working from the left side of the gear,
slide off the spring (1) and the start-up
sprocket (2).
•
Carry out the checks described on all
the components mentioned and also
on the shaft (3).
Start-up pedal overhaul
Check gear for cracks and wear and replace it if
necessary.
Check gears movement and, if it is not regular, re-
place the faulty part.
Check the spring and replace it if it is deformed by
over-stretching.
