A.2 Updating Firmware for Your t180L/t180LB
Four ways are available to update rmware for your t180L/t180LB:
Method Description
Atrust Thin Client Menu Downloads rmware from a remote computer and updates rmware for your thin client.
USB Flash Drive Updates rmware with a USB ash drive created by Recovery USB Disk Creator.
Atrust Client Setup Initiates rmware update locally on the thin client with the help of Atrust Client Setup.
Atrust Device Manger Initiates rmware update remotely on the remote computer with Atrust Device Manager.
Using Atrust Thin Client Menu
To update rmware using Atrust Thin Client Menu, please do the following:
1. Connect your thin client to the network, and then restart it.
2. During the POST (Power-On Self-Test) period, press Esc on the keyboard to enter Atrust Thin Client Menu.
3. Select Firmware update and then follow the on-screen instructions to complete the task.
NOTE
• You need to specify the IP address of the rmware server over the network. A
rmware server is the server where Atrust Device Manager is installed and client
rmware les are imported through Atrust Device Manager.
• For more information about Atrust Device Manager, please refer to the User’s
Manual for Atrust Device Manager.
Using a USB Flash Drive
To update rmware using a USB ash drive created by Recovery USB Disk Creator, please do the following:

• For instructions on how to create a USB ash drive using Recovery USB Disk Creator,
please refer to the Quick Guide for USB Creator.
1. Plug the USB ash drive, and then restart your thin client.
2. During the POST period, press F7 to enter the Boot Device menu.
3. Select the USB ash drive on that menu to enter Atrust Thin Client Recovery System screen.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the task.
