4.4.3 Funneling liquid nitrogen in the detector
The procedure is identical for both types of detector - MCT and FPA.

Open the corresponding filling hole by
removing the plug and insert the funnel.
Note: The funnel is included in the deliv-
ery scope.

Pour slowly liquid nitrogen into the funnel.
Avoid spilling the liquid nitrogen on the
microscope housing.
Pour liquid nitrogen only in a filling hole
underneath which a detector is installed.
Otherwise the microscope will get dam-
aged.
