4.2 Switching on / off the analysis system
Switching on the analysis system (Procedure without FPA detector)
➣ Important: When switching on the complete analysis system (i.e. microscope
plus spectrometer plus PC), always keep to the following sequence of actions:
1. Switching on the microscope
Switch on the microscope. (switch posi-
tion: I).
The ON/OFF switch
① is at the micro-
scope rear side.
2. Switching on the spectrometer
Switch on the spectrometer. (switch posi-
tion: ON).
The ON/OFF switch
① is at the spec-
trometer rear side.

trometer in question.
3. Switching on the PC and the monitor

➣ Important: When switching on the complete analysis system (i.e. microscope
with FPA detector plus spectrometer plus PC), always keep to the following
sequence:
1. Switching on the microscope
Switch on the microscope. (switch posi-
tion: I).
The ON/OFF switch

2. Switching on the spectrometer
Switch on the spectrometer. (switch posi-
tion: ON).
The ON/OFF switch
① is at the spec-
trometer rear side.
