Option Description
Only the elements defined in the spectrum with the
periodic table are used. This can be the
periodic table in the spectrum display of the
measured spectrum or the periodic table in the
spectrum display of quantification.
Only the elements listed in the Selection chart of
the method editor are used for quantification.
Additional peaks are searched for quantification by
automatic peak ID.
Double click on an element symbol opens the
dialog on the left, which allows the following
presence settings for this element individually:
Element present. The element will be displayed in
bold and used as list element.
Element not present. The element will be
displayed with a grey background and handled as a
forbidden element.
Element presence unknown. The element will be
displayed normal and can be searched as
additional element.
Special properties of selected elements
In this field it is possible to define settings for every
selected element.
Compound. If certain elements are present in
stoichiometric compounds, it is possible to use this
knowledge for quantification. These elements are
displayed with a yellow background and the
compound is listed as a special property of the
element. The compound can be directly typed or
selected from a drop-down menu. The use of this
compound for the current quantification can be
selected with the check box.
This function can be used, for example, in case of
oxides. In this case, the oxygen that cannot be
measured can be considered by the stoichiometric
relations.
Only one compound can be selected for every
element.
