FINE SPAN ADJUSTMENT, CONT.
If 2nd Order Linearization was enabled and the Num Cal Pts parameter is set for 2 or
more, then a COEFF option will be added to the Fine Span screen. This option is used to
adjust the displayed weight after testing has shown an error in a specific range of weight.
Press the C key or use the Navigation Keys to select (highlight) the Coeff option and then
press the ENTER key to proceed to the Coefficient screen.
Linear Coefficient:
The Linear Coefficient is applied to the load cell signal to calculate weight. If the current
setting displayed for this coefficient is acceptable, press the Down Arrow to advance to
the 2nd Order Coeff: parameter.
Otherwise, use the numeric keys to enter a new Linear Coefficient and then press the
Down Arrow to advance to the next parameter.
2nd Order Coeff:
This coefficient is applied to the square of the load cell signal to calculate weight. If the
current 2nd Order Coeff setting displayed is acceptable, press the Down Arrow to
advance to the Tweak low weight: parameter.
Otherwise, use the numeric keys to enter a new 2nd Order Coeff and then press the
Down Arrow to advance to the next parameter.
WARNING! Changing the Linear Coefficient or the 2nd Order Coeff
will affect the indicator's ability to display the proper weight. Please
consult the factory before making any changes.
Tweak low weight:
This is the low end of the range of weight that requires adjusting. For example, if after
performing linearization testing, the displayed weight is 5 lbs low between 10,000 lbs and
15,000 lbs, the value for the tweak low weight is 10000.
If the setting displayed is acceptable, press the Down Arrow to advance to the
Tweak high weight: parameter.
Otherwise, use the numeric keys to enter the tweak low weight and then press the
Down Arrow to advance to the next parameter.
Tweak high weight:
This is the high end of the range of weight that requires adjusting. Using the example
above, the value for the tweak high weight is 15000.
If the setting displayed is acceptable, press the Down Arrow to advance to the
Tweak weight: parameter.
Otherwise, use the numeric keys to enter the tweak high weight and then press the
Down Arrow to advance to the next parameter.
