PREFERENCES
Sound Settings
The sound settings parameters allow you to customize the beep that occurs each time a key is
pressed. The duration of the beep as well as the note and octave produced can be set or the
key beep can be turned off.
5. Sound Settings
With the Preferences Menu displayed, press the 5 key or use the Navigation Keys to select
(highlight) 5. Sound Settings and then press the ENTER key. The display will change
to show the Setup Sound Preferences screen.
Key sound time:
With the Setup Sound Preferences screen displayed, the current setting for the
Key sound time: parameter will be shown. This is the length of time the beep sounds
each time a key is pressed. The key sound time (key beep duration) can be from no
beep or off to a full one second. If the setting displayed is acceptable, proceed to the
next parameter.
Otherwise, press the SPACE key to step through and select the key sound time and then
press the Down Arrow to advance to the next parameter or press the ENTER key to
save the new setting. The available selections are None (no key beep), 31.25ms,
62.5ms, 125ms, 250ms, 500ms and 1sec. Note that ms = millisecond (1/1000 of a
second).
Key sound freq:
With the Setup Sound Preferences screen displayed, the current setting for the
Key sound freq: parameter will be shown. This is the note and octave of the key
beep sound. If the setting displayed is acceptable, press the ENTER key or the
Navigation Keys Left Arrow to return to the previous screen.
Otherwise, press the SPACE key to step through and select the keynote and octave and
then press the ENTER key to save the new setting and return to the previous screen.
The available selections are None (no key beep), 31.25ms, 62.5ms, 125ms, 250ms,
500ms and 1sec. Note that ms = millisecond or 1/1000 of a second. The available
selections are C5, D5, E5, F5, G5, A5, B5, C6, E6, G6, A6, C7, D7, and E7.
After Pressing the ENTER key
After pressing the ENTER key (at either parameter), the display will change to show:
Power off and on for changes
to take effect.
Press and hold (about 4 seconds) the ON/OFF key to turn off the indicator. Wait a few
seconds and then press it again to turn the indicator back ON. The sound settings have
been saved and are now effective.
