SETUP AND CALIBRATION, CONT.
Calibration Methods
The 825 has two methods to enter the calibration procedure. One method is performed after
entering the calibration setup parameters. The other method is selected from the Setup Menu
screen and skips entering the calibration setup parameters.
Calibration of the scale can be performed using up to four calibration points in addition to the
zero (no load) weight. The number of calibration points is determined by the Num Cal Pts
parameter. When one point is used, only screen prompts for Weight 1 and Weight 2 will be
displayed. If more than one point is used, additional screen prompts for Weight 3, Weight 4
and Weight 5 will be displayed. Note that one weighing must be zero (no load) weight.
The following examples use two calibration points in addition to the zero (no load) weight. The
two points could correspond to a mid-point weight and the test (load) weight.
Calibration after Entering Scale Parameters
1. With the Calibrate Scale screen displayed, the current setting Calibrate: NO will be
shown. If calibration is desired, press the SPACE key to toggle its status from No to Yes
and then press the ENTER key to proceed with calibration. Otherwise, press the ENTER
key to return to the Scale 1 – Calibration Options screen.
2. The display will change to show the Scale 1 – Calibration Weight 1 screen.
3. If this is the zero weight (no load), press the 0 key and then press the ENTER key.
Otherwise, place the weights on the scale and then using the numeric keys, enter the
current weight on the scale and then press the ENTER key.
4. The display will show the percentage of completion and a dashed line proceeding from left
to right for this step. When this step has been completed, the display will change to show
the Scale 1 – Calibration Weight 2 screen.
5. If this is the zero weight (no load), press the 0 key and then press the ENTER key.
Otherwise, place the weights on the scale and then using the numeric keys, enter the
current weight on the scale and then press the ENTER key.
6. The display will show the percentage of completion and a dashed line proceeding from left
to right for this step. When this step has been completed, the display will change to change
to show the Scale 1 – Calibration Weight 3 screen.
7. If this is the zero weight (no load), press the 0 key and then press the ENTER key.
Otherwise, place the weights on the scale and then using the numeric keys, enter the
current weight on the scale and then press the ENTER key.
8. The display will show the percentage of completion and a dashed line proceeding from left
to right for this step. When this step has been completed, the display will change to show
the Scale 1 – Fine Span screen. NOTE: If Span Adjustment is required, proceed to
the FINE SPAN ADJUSTMENT.
