4-OPERATINGINSTRUCTIONS
Pre-startchecklist
Operatingandenvironmentalconditionsmustbe
consideredandthefollowingchecked:
1.FillthetankwithNo.1dieselorNo.2dieselfuel.
UseNo.1dieseliftheambienttemperatureisex-
pectedtobelessthan4°C(40°F)orifthemachineis
tobeusedatanaltitudeexceeding1524m(5000ft).
Thesulfurcontentofthefuelshouldbenomorethan
0.5%.Thesedimentandwatercontentshouldnot
exceed0.5%.Useultralowsulfurfuelonly(lessthan
15ppm).
2.Removealldirtanddebrisfromtheoorboardarea
tomaintainfullrangeoffootpedaltravelandfoot
throttleifequipped.
3.Conrmthattheradiatorandcoolersarecleanof
debrisandobstruction.

Checkuidlevelsoftheengine,hydraulicreservoir
andcoolanttank.
5.Lubricateanyttingsinaccordancewiththelubrica-
tionandmaintenanceschedule.
6.Inspectthemachineforlooseparts,damagedcom-
ponentsormissingitems.Keepallshieldsinthe
properposition.
7.Conrmthatallsafetysignsarelegibleandprop-
erlyplacedonthecorrectcomponent.Replaceany
safetysignsthatarenotlegible.Contactyourdealer
forreplacementsafetysigns.
8.Checktheseatbeltandseatswitchfordamageand
properoperation.Seethemaintenancesectionof
thismanualunderdailymaintenanceforthecom-
pleteprocedure.
9.Conrmthatallcontrolsoperatefreelyandcorrectly.
10.Conrmthatthedrivecontroliscorrectandthatthe
machinedoesnotcreepforwardorrearward.Con-
tactyourdealerifthemachinedoesnotremainsta-
tionarywiththedrivecontrolsintheneutralposition.
11.Conrmthattheparkingbrakeholdsthemachine
frommovementwhenpoweredoronanincline.

WARNING
Fallingobjecthazard!
Beforeoperatingthemachine,alwaysmake
surethebucketorattachmentissecurely
lockedintothequick-attachplate.Aloader
bucketorattachmentthatisnotsecurely
lockedintothequick-attachplatecouldcome
offduringloaderoperation.
Failuretocomplycouldresultindeathorse-
riousinjury.
