tension
NOTE:Thealternatorbeltandair-conditioningbelttensioncheckandadjustprocedureonlyapplestomodelsSR130,
SR150,SR175,andSV185.
Checkthealternatorbelttensionaftertherst10hofoperationonanewmachineorifanewbelthasbeeninstalled.
Aftertheinitial10h,checkthebelttensionevery10hofoperation.
Alternatorbelttensioncheckandadjust
Usethefollowingproceduretoadjustthealternatorbelt
tension.
1.Loosentheadjustingbracketbolt(2).
2.Pullthealternatortowardtheoutsideofthema-
chinetotightenthebelt.Thebeltistightenedprop-
erlywhenaforceof1kg(2lb)isappliedperpen-
diculartothebeltatthecenterofthespanwitha
3mm(0.118in)deection.
3.Tightentheadjustingbracketbolt(2).

Airconditioningbelttensioncheckandadjust
Ifyourmachineisequippedwithairconditioning,use
thefollowingproceduretoadjusttheairconditioning
belttension.
1.Loosentheadjustingbracketbolt(1).
2.Pulltheaircompressor(2)towardtheoutsideof
themachinetotightenthebelt.Thebeltistight-
enedproperlywhenaforceof1kg(2lb)isapplied
perpendiculartothebeltatthecenterofthespan
witha3mm(0.118in)deection.
3.Tightentheadjustingbracketbolt(1).

belttheproperadjustmentiswiththealternatorinitsfullyextendedmountingposition.Thesamemachinesequipped
withair-conditioning(AC)theACcompressormustalsobeinthefullyextendedmountingposition.
