Section 7.5 Connecting External Devices
The illuminator is designed to function with certain external devices. The
peripheral devices include a label printer, a printer for treatment records and a
data management system. The following sections describe the requirements for
the attached devices.
Printers
Two printers may be connected to the illuminator, a printer for making labels and
a printer for treatment records. The table below describes the printers
compatible with the illuminator.
Label Printer Treatment Printer
Zebra printer, model T402
Any Hewlett Packard laser printer
with a USB connector
Zebra printer, model GK420T
Zebra printer, model TLP 2844-Z
If using the label printer, 4" × 1" (102 mm × 25 mm) labels (Zebra part number
83340) should be used. Every illuminator must have its own label printer.
Data Management System
The illuminator may be connected to an optional data management system.
The illuminator will send treatment information to the data management system
to add to the process record. Refer to your data management system for the
TCP/IP addresses and site code to configure the illuminator.
Network Connections
Only connect the illuminator to firewall-protected networks.
