Section 3.9 Features for Safety and Function
A microprocessor controls the illuminator. The illuminator also
contains:
• Air flow sensor — to make sure that the fan is working.
• Air filter — to cover the fan vent and prevent dust from
entering the illuminator.
• Container placement sensors — to ensure the containers are
positioned correctly for illumination.
• Door lock — to lock the door during treatment.
• Door lock sensor — to ensure the door is locked during
treatment.
• Magnetic door sensor — to ensure the door is closed.
• Interlock switch — to ensure the door is closed.
• Side access panel sensor — to ensure the side access panel is
closed during illumination.
WARNING
The side access panel should only be opened by a qualified field
service engineer. There are no user serviceable parts accessible by
the side access panel.
• Agitator sensor — to ensure the agitator is moving.
• Drawer sensor — to ensure the drawer is closed.
